In the FENIX process the jewellery use case will use recycled precious metals from PCB’s in order to produce highly customised jewellery with the human face captured in 3D using innovative 3D printing and casting techniques. After an initial development of jewels FENIX has now started the first trials where human faces are being scanned and then jewels are produced with their face. FENIX will continue with further testing and refinement of the entire process in order to improve the quality as well as the dimensional accuracy of the 3D printed jewels. Below images show the first trials which are really promising.
